Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer

Remember when everyone was excited about that moisturizer that you apply in the shower? Then it came out and it sucked? It was just a lotion...literally...that really did not even moisturize out of the shower.

This is not it. Jergens came out with a new Wet Skin Moisturizer and I received a bottle of it in the Influenster Wellness VoxBox. At first I was pretty critical thinking it would be exactly like the original. But I was wrong. Where that one did nothing, this new moisturizer is oil based, allowing the skin to actually soak up the good for you ingredients while you are still in the shower!

I take my regular shower, and after I turn off the water and am standing in the shower soaking wet, I pop open the blue bottle and squirt some product into my hand, about a quarter size for my legs and about the same for my arms. Then I just quickly rub it in and get out of the shower, reaching for my towel. Once I am dried off, my skin feels a little bit oily, but not slippery! (Side note, I do enjoy body oils, which might be why I enjoy the feeling of this so much). It is like a good moisturized feeling. I honestly have not reached for my lotion after getting out of the shower, because I feel this does the job pretty well.

I will say that the scent on this smells like you just landed in Hawaii and have a lei around your neck. It is a little bit strong smelling at first, but fades. I am interested in finding out if there are other scents in this product, because I really do enjoy it. {The moisturizer retails for $7.99}.

Extra quick review: The Olay Active Botanicals cleanser works wonders with my Clarisonic. The Attitude Shampoo & Body Wash is not that great at being a shampoo, but is the best smelling body wash my nose has ever smelled.

~Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer (and the other 2 items shown) were sent to me by Influenster, complimentary, for testing purposes. All opinions are my own.~

Makeup Inventory - August 2015

This is going to be short and sweet. I am just recording my numbers for what is in my makeup hoard as of this point in time.  I have decluttered since January (which was my original inventory). I am going to have 2 separate lists; my inventory as of right now, and two numbers side by side previous count & current count.

Pink Week

Need I say more? Pink is everything to me. Quick story: I used to hate pink, probably as a rebellion towards my mom in my tween years, even though my nickname was/is Pinky. But now, pink - all day, every day. I did #daiseygirlypinkweek on my Instagram all this week. Now here is the look book for all the eyeshadow looks I did. Under each picture I will list the shadows I used as a reference. I like doing these look books; it gives me a one-stop shop for inspiration when needed. Hope you enjoyed this mini-series I did!

Finish 5 by Fall Update #1

It has been four weeks since I began the Finish 5 by Fall project and I have seen some decent progress on my five items. I filmed my update (if you would like to watch it) and uploaded it onto YouTube here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fz7BIF0YJJA  {This link will take you directly to my video}

Emtpies # 8

Another month gone, another month worth of empties. I have officially hit the over $1,000 mark on how much monies worth of product I have used up this year alone. I am curious to see how much I will have used up by the end of this year.

As always, short and simple, with a quick review on the product and if I will repurchase again.

Beach Essentials

I live a half mile from the beach. That said, the kids and I spend a lot of our summer days there. I have a few essentials that always go with me. Very few really, as I am not a high-maintenance beach goer.

Finish 5 by Fall Intro

Here we go...Pan 4x4 is over, now onto Finish 5 by Fall!

I picked 5 items I would like to use up by the first day of fall - Wednesday, September 23. I recorded a video and uploaded it to YouTube on the items I chose. If you would like to watch that, click this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7nOv8YWREI

I have started doing videos on YouTube...my name there is "thedaiseygirly"

Empties # 7

I have 12 empties that I used up during the month of June. Three of these are from my "pan 4x4" project. I will insert a photo of those at the end. As always, I will give my mini review of each empty product.

June 2015 Favorites

This was a month of nudes for me. And for refreshing my face and making sure my lipstick stayed put all day long. With the kids out of school and no major plans, I really was able to focus on doing my makeup in the mid-day....I know I didn't go anywhere half the time, but at least I was a diva house-mom for the day right?

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette Lookbook

I have decided that I will be trying to pan the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette starting now until the end of this year. I doubt I will finish the entire thing, but would like to see how much progress I can make on it. Even if I hit pan on a few of the shades I will be happy.

That said, I did a week of looks using strictly this palette. No other shadows were used, but I did use eyeliners when needed and layered shadow on top to set the eyeliner. Also, I used various cream bases to alter some of the shades slightly (I need to work on using these more as well: paint pots & color tattoos).

Quality over Quantity

Every morning I sit at my vanity and look over my makeup. Some stuff I love, others I don't. My collection is not as large as others I have seen. But it is larger than the "average" female's collection. And I am a tad embarrassed by that fact. That said, I swatched a whole bunch of lip products I have not touched in a long time. As in they have dust sitting on their caps. And I made some cuts and am throwing out things I know I will never use. Picture below of said items:

ColourPop's Coconut

If you haven't guessed by now, I am in love with ColourPop. Their eyeshadows are perfection; their creamy mousse-like texture dries to a long-lasting powder with intense color payoff. And they are only $5.

Coconut is a summer exclusive shade and I have had it on  my mind since I received it, but didn't really know what to do with it. Today I decided to go full ham and have it be the center of attention like it deserves.

Empties # 6

Empties. Again. Happy June 1 everybody!!!

I will make this short and sweet with what I used up in the month of May and mini-review of each product.

May Favorites

I know my last post was a monthly favorites as well, but here we are at the end of May, and my brain hasn't been in the greatest place this month. It's been a whirlwind of a month, so I am happy it is June!

These 5 items are the ones I reached for almost every single day in May:

Too-Faced Chocolate Bar Palette - The big cream shade is my go-to brow bone color. I wish I had only that color. The only other colors in this palette that I use regularly are the 4 in the bottom left hand side.

Makeup Geek Pointed Crease Brush - I have found that this works really well for applying ColourPop's matte shades in my crease. It is stiff enough to pack on the color, but soft enough to blend the cream type shadows without rubbing them away.

Loreal Voluminous Extra-Volume Collagen Mascara - This is the most amazing mascara I have ever used. It packs a punch in the volume department and lengthens just enough for me. Bonus: there is no flaking or smudging. I will continue to repurchase this until I die because it's that awesome.

Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder 'Medium 2' - I finally found my perfect bronzer. It's not too warm toned but is reddish...or works well with my pink undertone. It blends out wonderfully and I'm hooked. I can already see the rings from the packaging.

Loreal True Match Foundation 'N2 & C3' - I mix these together to get my perfect match. This foundation covers well, doesn't break down, and feels light on my face.

My last favorite of the month is this Origami Owl necklace I ordered from my mom's site. I have been wearing it as much as I possibly can. My favorite piece is the Big Dipper. So sparkly, and tiny enough that the necklace doesn't overpower me. These are from their Core Charms line...super cute. If you are ever interested in ordering from Origami Owl please go to jewelskerner.origamiowl.com and see what you can create! I am impressed with the quality and the ability to 'customize' a piece of jewelry just for me.

Thank you for reading this and I hope you have a wonderful June! What were some of your favorites in May?

April Favorites (A little late)

I'm going to start doing monthly favorites. Aka: my most loved items throughout the month. You know the drill.

Bobbi Brown Bronzer 'Medium 2' - A pinky undertone on this bronzer. It does not look muddy on me at all. I actually was not going to buy this because in store, under those crazy florescent lights it looked insane. As soon as I walked outside and looked in the mirror under the sunlight, I literally ran back into the store and snagged the last one on the shelf. I needed a pinky undertone because I am pink. When I "tan" I get more freckles and basically just burn. Thank you Irish background.

Bobbi Brown Bronzer brush - HELLA expensive, but oh so gloriously worth it. No words can describe this goat hair brush...it's that good.

Loreal Voluminous Collagen mascara - I wore this years ago and then forgot about it. I'm hooked. No flakes, no smudges, 2 coats equals volume and length. It reminds me of Too Faced's Better Than Sex, only better...and it's drugstore!!

Clinique Pop lip colour + primer - the name of these is ridiculous...but the top shade is Plum Pop, and the closed one is Bare Pop. Straight addicted I am. I also have Beige Pop, but it's hiding in my purse at the moment. They are not long-wearing, but that's alright. They are moisturizing, smooth, and are the best feeling on my lips lipstick I have EVER worn. Cherry Pop will be in my hands as soon as possible.

Bare Minerals Mineral Veil - I have been using this on my damp beauty blender to set my under eye concealer with. My daughter told me my eyes looked super bright, so this became an instant favorite. Once this sample runs out, I will for sure repurchase. The illuminating mineral veil is also awesome...it does have shimmer in it, but that's fine by me. I need all the illuminating I can get.

Empties # 5

Another empties! So far this year I have used up a total of $436 worth of products (as of April 7th). Within one month I used another $189 of product! For a grand total of $625 in 5 months! My mind is boggled. Granted, I have not spent that much this year on these, but it is just how much money I have used...if that makes sense. Makeup/skin care/body care is expensive is my conclusion. But at least I am using it and not hoarding it all. Now, onto this month's empties (with mini-reviews included):

Clinique liquid facial soap mild - I wound up using the rest of this as makeup brush cleanser. I think it is too harsh for my face.

Almay eye makeup remover pads - I hated these. It took about 2/eye to get my mascara off. Will not repurchase these.

Bobbi Brown Extra Eye Repair Cream - This ish is expensive. I really liked it, found it moisturizing for my dry under eyes, but I won't/can't spend/justify $70 on an eye cream that went so fast. (This was a sample size valued at $35...it was half the size of a normal cream).

Laneige Water Bank Serum - $35 for ______???? Was not impressed.

Bite Agave Lip Mask - As much as I loved this, I won't re-buy it. I have found Carmex works miracles and the price is so much better at just 99 cents.

Pink Sugar & Juicy Couture Fragrance samples - meh. I have probably 50 more to go through.

Origins GinZing face mask - I guess I liked it? Made my skin feel good.

Glam Glow Thirstymud - I am pretty sure this stuff broke me out. I wound up using it on my neck. I have been super underwhelmed by the Glam Glow products.

Urban Decay Perversion 24/7 Eye Pencil - Meh again. It made my eyes water. Enough so that I won't be using the little bit left. I got my $20 out of it.

Lancome Hypnose Drama mascara sample - Lancome mascara flakes like a mother on me. Nope.

Maybelline Lash Discovery Waterproof - I liked the wand, but this stuff flaked on me also.

There we have it folks. Another month of empties outta my life and hoard. I wonder how much I can go through this month!!!

Clinique Pop Lip Colour + Primer

I am a sucker for lipsticks. Just like I am a sucker for blushes. I had seen a review on the new Clinique Pop Lip Colour + Primer that piqued my interest. I ordered one from Sephora, bought one at Nordstrom's, and another from the PX. I am hooked. I really do not like matte lipsticks, I need moisture on my lips otherwise I look like I have never drank water a day in my life.

And moisture is what these new lipsticks from Clinique have plenty of! They are almost addicting to apply because they feel soooo good. I thought the NARS Audacious lipsticks felt good, but these top that and at half the price. They are not long wearing, but I think if they were considered a long-wear lipstick they would not feel as nice as they do.

#becauseglitterduh Day 5 - Gold Glitter

I am going to end this mini-challenge to myself with the glitter I was most scared of using: straight up gold. Literally, that is what it is called. "Gold".  I got it in one of the holiday pigments set from MAC last year and never played with it. I started out with only putting it on like an outer corner eyeliner, and when some fell onto my lashes, I figured I would go half ham and apply it to my outer bottom lashes as well. I now see flashes of light when I blink, going to imagine this is what Tinkerbell sees when she is flying and throwing pixie dust over her shoulder.

#becauseglitterduh Day 4 - Reflects Pearl on Green

I am starting to think that Reflects Pearl is my favorite glitter: it transforms into whatever color I put it on, and that is awesome.
I used the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette and Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner 'Mars'. I had never used Mars before and I now regret that. It is such a unique shade and worked really well with the 3 colors from the Chocolate Bar that I used (see last picture for all products).

#becauseglitterduh Day 3 - Reflects Pink

Going strong on day 3 of my #becauseglitterduh week! I received MAC's Reflects Pink glitter in the mail yesterday and couldn't wait to play with it. I knew I wanted an all over the lid glitter for today, so that is what I did! I have realized that the reflects glitters are more subtle in photos (they are so hard to photograph), but in person, they just shimmer all over the place, which is my favorite way to wear glitter.

#becauseglitterduh Day 2 - Reflects Blue

For #becauseglitterduh I applied MAC's 'Reflects Blue' on top of Tarte's Amazonian Clay Gel liner. This glitter is my favorite because it reflects blue and looks different depending on what you place it on. On top of the black, it is full on bright blue! Love.

#becauseglitterduh Day 1 - Reflects Pearl

Glitter Challenge Day 1- M.A.C Reflects Pearl

Using Too Faced's Chocolate Bar (below): 1-Crease, 2-Brow bone, 3-Transition, 4-Lid
Added:  ColourPop 'Amaze' on lid & Reflects Pearl on the inner corner as a highlight and swept in towards the center of my eye. The result is an everyday look with a glimmer of shimmer (pun intended).

Because glitter, duh!

It's glitter week!!! I LOVE glitter. My idea of makeup 12 years ago was throwing on some mascara, blush, lipgloss, and plastering some prisma glitter I got from my mom's scrapbooking stash all over my eyes and stuck in the lipgloss. The more the better, no shame here. Now that I am 30+ years old, I don't  think I can get away with my old ways. But, I can still rock glitter in a more grown up way.

Purples & Pinks All Spring Long

I know that I love pink eyeshadow. It is a weakness of mine. Give me pink all day, every day. But I did not realize how much I secretly love purple eyeshadow as well, until I realized that every other day I am wearing a combination of pink and purple on my lids. After church last night I decided to kick up my shadow a notch and just played around: adding a brighter pink; some blue glitter to my bottom lash line; and MAC's 'Vex' as an intense brow bone highlight.

Here is the result:

#onebyonebeautytag

I was tagged on Instagram to do the #onebyonebeautytag. Because I did not want to have a huge description on IG, I am moving it to this source.

  • Skincare item I can't be without -  Cleanser! This dermalogica one has quickly rose to holy grail status for me. It removes everything without being ridiculously foamy.
  • Makeup product I always splurge on - Blush. Blush is my weakness. I want to cover myself in pink shimmery goodness every time I see blush...and I probably should so my hoard can get used up.
  • Beauty must have when traveling - Any sort of lip balm. I rarely wear lipstick when I road trip. This is my 2nd tube of the Bite Agave Lip Mask, but I am currently using an old school Carmex (which I honestly like better than the Agave Mask).
  • Beauty tool that's a total necessity - MAC 224 blending brush. Before this, my eyeshadow was a hot unblended mess. Best brush purchase of life!
  • Beauty product I never purchase - Eyeliners! I have so many that I have not purchased an eyeliner in over a year.

No-buy Hiatus

I started a no-buy at the beginning of this year. I was doing well up until a month or so ago. I am not sure if it is because I am feeling lonely, or seeing all this new makeup come out, that I broke my no-buy with a $40 Bobbi Brown blush in the most gorgeous coral I've ever seen. It has spiraled downwards from there. I just purchased 8 nail polishes and have had 2 ColourPop orders come in within the last two weeks.

I am hereby taking myself off said no-buy, as suggested by a friend. I am not going to go crazy and haul makeup, but if there is something that I absolutely want, I refuse to make myself feel guilty about it; which is what has happened. I feel like I have been lying to myself, and that's not good.

"Finish 5 by Cinco de Mayo" Intro

I am jumping into the "Finish 5 by Cinco de Mayo" challenge a little late, but I have exactly two months to make some serious progress on these five items:

Thursday, March 5, 2015

Empties #4

February 17th was the last time I posted my empties, and I have a ten more to finish up the month of February and going into March. This brings my total up to 27 empty beauty containers that I have used since January 1, 2015. 27!!! That is a lot. To me anyways...

Project Pan/Use It Up Finale

I started the beginning of this Project Use It Up with the following items:

Sunday, March 1, 2015

Pop of Blue - Sephora Collection 'Stormy Seas'

I fell in love with Sephora's Duo Reflects Single Eyeshadow in 'Stormy Seas'. I am normally not a fan of blue eyeshadow, honestly I do not know how to wear it properly. The nice lady at my local Sephora suggested I put it on the outer "V" and then use a champagne color for the rest of the lid. Keep it simple. So, that's what I did today.

Here is the result:

Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation

I think I've finally found the one...it makes me feel pretty and hides my imperfections in a perfectly natural way. The wear is so good (I took a nap and it didn't budge), not cakey even with two layers on, and is the most perfect color match I've ever had. The finish is luminous, hence the name, but not shiny in a bad way. It gives my skin life. Giorgio Armani's Luminous Silk Foundation lives up to its hype and exceeded my expectations.

For reference my skin is dry, blotchy, chin acne, and has red spots along with my freckles. I have run out of words of praise for this amazing foundation. If you are on the fence about it, get a sample and give it a try.

Project Pan / Use It Up Update #3

I realize that my last few posts have been all updates, aka trash. But, since starting this journey at the beginning of this year, I am seeing the joy in decluttering and using up all the bits & pieces. Most of these include skin care samples, but in doing this I have learned what I like, what I hate, and most importantly, what works for me. My ultimate goal is to find one item in each category that is holy grail for me. Makeup and skin care is totally personal preference, so just because I dislike something, doesn't mean it won't work for someone else.

I purchased what I hope will be my holy grail foundation and primer combination. Fingers crossed my hunt is over..more to come on that later. Now, onto my trash! (With mini-reviews).

Project Pan / Use It Up: Update #2

I last posted on January 19th, and since that time I have 6 more empties! I must say it felt very rewarding to watch these go in either the trash or recycle bin after I took this photo. Here are my mini reviews of each of these products.

Soap & Glory 'Smoothie Star Scrub' - The smell of this was wonderful, but in the shower it was messy. Too messy for me to purchase another tub of it. I will more than likely go back to DIY'ing my own shower scrub as it is cheaper to make it myself.

Estee Lauder Bi-Facil Eye Makeup Remover - I love Neutrogena's so much better. I won't be purchasing the full size of this remover.

epice Purifying Exfoliant - This was sent in an ipsy bag, and I thought it did a good job at being an exfoliater. I enjoyed using this, but won't be purchasing a full size.

L'Occitane Hand Cream - I think this is my favorite brand of hand cream...I might purchase a full size one day when all my others have run out.

PINK Fresh & Clean Body Mist - I honestly cannot remember how many years I have had this mist. I made it a point to finish it up, but after a week of using it, I realized the smell was now non-existent, I was basically just spraying myself with liquid. There is only a tiny bit left, so I decided to just toss it. This is my all-time favorite body spray scent and next time I am in Victoria's Secret, I will probably pick another one up. I enjoy Body Sprays for work, since I do not want to "waste" my good perfume.

Cover Girl Full Lash Bloom mascara - When a mascara starts getting goopy and clumpy on me, I decide it's time for a new one. I have a backup of this to use once I finish two deluxe samples of other mascaras in my hoard.

I have a total of 13 full size & deluxe samples out of my hoard within one month! Not counting the numerous foil packet samples I have used up. It feels good! My makeup no-buy has been going very well. I have not purchased any 'color' makeup and have even fell back in love with a Clinique Foundation I thought I hated. I did purchase a Beauty Blender and some brush cleanser...but other than that, I think I am doing really good on not bringing new products in and enjoying the ones I currently own.

Project Pan/Use It Up Update #1

I am 19 days into my no-buy/project pan/use it up. So far so good. I have purchased brush cleaner (desperately needed) and have been trying to find a foundation. The ones that I have are either too dark, or are not fitting my skins needs as of right now. Today I picked up the new Loreal Infallible Pro-Matte, and I am hoping my hunt is over. First impression is fairly good. The true test will be wearing it to work tomorrow. (My no-buy does not include foundations or nail polishes).

I have two items that I am saying good-bye to for Project Pan. I just can't with them anymore. The first is a sample size Bare Minerals 5 in 1 cream shadow: it is way too dark to use as a base and I found myself missing my Painterly Paint Pot way too much. Since I did not spend any money on the 5 in 1, I am calling it good & trashing it tonight. The second item is Estee Lauder Luminous Primer: it just plain sucks. I have never hated a cosmetic product more in my life. It makes me way too glowy and settles into every single line and pore I did not know I had. Also, I am beginning to think/realize that Estee Lauder products in general dry my skin out, and I can't be having that. I have some samples of other face primers I am going to use, while still be on the hunt for a 'moisturizing' primer. My eye is on the new TooFaced Hangover Rx Primer.

Final photo of the two most hated products in my makeup life. Good-bye! It hasn't been nice knowing you!
I am going to supplement these two items with random samples, skin care, and a Victoria's Secret body spray. Stuff I actually want to use. I have realized that if I do not like something, why bother using it? Just upsets me. Have a wonderful short week everyone!

I Am Wishing For Spring!

I'm so over winter. Although I love me some neutral eyeshadow, my true passion is CoLoR!!! As I was going through one of my makeup drawers last night, I found Maybelline's Color Tatoo in 'Sunwashed Sky' and Loreal's Infalliable  Eye  Shadow in 'Burst Into Bloom'. I liked how they swatched together seamlessly and once I added MAC glitter in 'Reflects Blue', I had an idea of what I wanted to do on my eyes. My first go got wiped off as it was too clownish, so I muted the purple by using a peachy shade from the TooFaced Chocolate Bar palette as a transition. On the bottom lash line I used MAC eyeliner in 'Industrial' and ColourPop's 'I Heart This' on the inner bottom lash line.

First Empties of 2015

Empties can be somewhat boring. As of yet, I have no makeup empties, but I am working on that! My empties posts will be to show that I really am pushing product out of my hoard. I had been keeping foil packets, but decided against showing those, because they are not 'fun'. I will also give a mini review of the empties I do have and whether I will repurchase or not.

Estee Lauder Resilience Lift Eye Cream - I felt like this took forever to use up and did a little happy dance when it was finally done. I think it dried out my under eye skin and I did not see any "lifting action" with this. Will definitely NOT repurchase because I do not like it and it is pricey.

Freeman Bare Foot Lotion - This was nice. It soaked into my feet and smelled yummy. I honestly like the Burt's Bees Foot Cream better since I like a thicker consistency, I might not repurchase this.

Fig & Rouge Hand Cream - I got this in an Ipsy bag and liked it just fine. I would not purchase a full size of this product because it was light in texture.

Model Co Mascara - Another Ipsy item. I loved this mascara for the first two weeks. Then it got ridiculously goopy and messy so I had to stop using it. Would consider purchasing a full size if I ran into one at the drug store, but only if it is under $10.

CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser - Eh...this does not leave my skin dry, and is nice as an after the makeup is off cleanser. I probably will not purchase this in a full size.

Alterna CC Cream - I know I said I would not include foil packets, but I am so impressed with this product. It is basically a blow dry cream, but made my hair ridiculously soft and I was able to go 3 days without washing my hair. I am sort of sad that I have a deluxe size Bumble & Bumble and a Carol's Daughter full size blow dry cream I need to use up, because I would definitely purchase this in the full size.

Yay for having 5 items out of my stash! I am looking forward to the day when I am able to post makeup empties!

More ColourPop Swatches

I got three more ColourPop Super Shock eyeshadows before my no-buy started. I think I am good for now. These have only been swatched because I have been so focused on my project pan that I have not been doing my normal makeup.

Lovely

Tea Party

On The Rocks
Top to Bottom: Lovely, Tea Party, On The Rocks
Ehrmagawd...Lovely is just that....lovely! Tea Party might just make me feel like a pretty princess. And On The Rocks is gonna be killer. I've said it before, I will say it again...I AM HOOKED! I freaking love glitter and shimmer and looking like a disco ball.

Makeup Inventory 2015

This post is simply for wanting to know my exact numbers of what is in my makeup hoard. I honestly thought they would be bigger in all, and some categories had larger numbers than I even expected. Yesterday I cleaned out any old, yucky, "I won't ever use makeup", and that might have helped some numbers be lower than what I expected them to be. I did write down in my notebook exact colors, but I won't do that here because no one cares and it would take me all night to re-write them down. As I finish up items, I can mark them off in my notebook, which will show me progress visually. I organized my vanity and am just happy everything fits on the top and in one drawer (not shown):

Without further ado, here are my makeup inventory numbers for 2015:

  • Lipstick : 30 / 18
  • Single Eyeshadows : 49 / 40

Approximate Total Items: 227

In my counts I did not add in my 2 concealers, any of my MAC pigments/glitters, and I left out a few single eyeshadows that I am trying to decide if I will actually keep.

Thankfully I do not have a body care or candle problem...

I do have a semi-excess amount of sample size face washes, eye creams, etc., that I will be using but will not count in my numbers. That said, I plan on using all my sample sizes and a few different opened bottles of face wash/face masks, before I purchase any more. Also, some of the eye and face primers are samples, but I included them since a little goes a long way with those types of products. Oh! I also did not include my beloved ColourPop single shadows, just because...

Wish me luck! And what a happy day it will be when I can finally say my total items is lower!

Project Pan - The Items I Will Use Up

Project Pan here I come! I am starting out with small, actually attainable goals, with items I just want out of my stash. April 11, 2015 is 100 days from now and my deadline for using up the items in the photo below. If I use up something before the deadline I will add in another piece.

Starting at the top and going clockwise:

Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Pencil - Perversion : It's almost gone! I am tired of using this already.

MAC Eyeshadow - Sweet Lust : One of my 1st MAC eyeshadows, I have already hit pan but it needs to go! It will work great as a brow/inner corner highlight.

Tarte Lip Scrub : I have hit pan already, but plan to use this nightly. There is maybe 1/3 of the product left.

Victoria's Secret Lip Primer : Twisted all the way up, this is all that is left.

Estee Lauder Illuminating Primer : Half a tube is left, it is an okay primer, but was expensive and I need to use this up so I can finally work on the sample size primers I have.

Bare Minerals 5 in 1 Cream Shadow : This is a sample size and works great as a base or by itself. Again, I just want it gone.

I will post about these products again in 2 weeks and how my progress is going. My hopes for this self-challenge is to use up what I have and save some money as I am also on a semi-serious 'no-buy', meaning I will not be purchasing any makeup for the next 100 days. Fingers crossed I can stick to it...my last no-buy lasted roughly a week. I am at the point where I am not seeing a dent in any of my products and guilt has sort of set in.

As a prequel to this challenge, I finished a can of dry shampoo, a foot scrub, two sample size mascaras, and something else (which is completely lost in my mind right now). The feeling I got of throwing the empties away was satisfying.

Here's to a great 2015!
